Thailand

Holidays

Rioja, the best wine in the World!

Drying squid at Branbury.

Forest Trees.

A Greek window.

Halong, Vietnam

Luang Prabang

Luang Prabang is such a lovely, peaceful town to paint. I was lucky enough to do lectures there and get paid to go. Chris and Jun will remember the food on sale at the fresh market!!

Buildings

Buildings are great to draw and paint.

Beirut after the Civil War and before Isreal attacked again. Judy will remember this building.

My family's village in China.

Durham, just by the pub where I first joined the Socialist Workers Party.

The Old Customs House at Bang Rak.

And the old governor's palace by the river in Tonbury. It would make a great public library.
But the Thai ruling class are too greedy and uncultured to do this.

Flowers

My father encouraged me to like flowers, especially sweet smelling ones that send their fragrance out at night.

That is why I planted a white Lantom at Soi Aree in his memory.

Tamsin

I painted pictures from Tamsin's Cornwall and from holidays with Tamsin in Spain & Greece. We once drove over the hot dusty countryside of Spain, the earth was red and yellow.
Porthleven. Where Tamsin's father was born. You can see dolphines off the end of the pier.
Jun liked sitting on the big cannon over looking the harbour.

Green poplars grew at the back of the first flat we rented in Oxford, just by a metal factory in Walton Well Road. Greek chairs.

Num

Num.
She loves looking at the light through leaves of different colours.

The cover she painted for our book: "Revival of struggle. Old Left to New Left in Thailand."

Art Gallery

I loveto paint and photograph boats.

Thai fishing boats especially.

The hot French countryside. Wine, cheese, bread and my friend Chris.
Brigitte's family.
Camping with Rosa and Louise.

Blue stone wall from Cornwall. Tamsin's home region.
